So, what is fettsäuren?
Fettsäuren, also known as fatty acids in English, are essential building blocks of lipids that play crucial roles in the human body. They are classified into three categories: saturated, unsaturated, and polyunsaturated, based on the number of double bonds between carbon atoms in their molecular structure. Saturated fatty acids are typically solid at room temperature and are commonly found in animal products, while unsaturated fatty acids are liquid at room temperature and are primarily derived from plant sources. Polyunsaturated fatty acids, on the other hand, are essential fatty acids that cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained through diet. Fettsäuren are vital for maintaining healthy skin, brain function, and hormone production, among other important bodily processes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
