So, what is fitomenadione?
Fitomenadione, also known as vitamin K1, is a fat-soluble nutrient that plays an important role in blood clotting and bone health. It is found naturally in green leafy vegetables, such as spinach and kale, as well as in some vegetable oils. Fitomenadione is often added to processed foods and dietary supplements to boost their nutritional value. Adequate intake of this vitamin is crucial for maintaining healthy bones and preventing excessive bleeding. However, it should be consumed in moderation, as excessive intake may cause adverse effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
