So, what is foie de canard?

Foie de canard is a delicacy made from the liver of a specially fattened duck. Known for its rich, buttery texture and luxurious flavor, foie gras has been enjoyed for centuries by gourmands around the world. The process of producing foie gras involves force-feeding the ducks to fatten their liver, which has led to controversy surrounding its ethics. However, when sourced ethically, foie de canard is a highly prized ingredient in French cuisine and can be used in a variety of dishes, from pâtés and terrines to seared foie gras with fruit compote.
