So, what is fructosesiroop?
Fructose syrup is a sweetening ingredient commonly used in food and beverage manufacturing. It is derived from corn starch and is sweeter than regular sugar. Fructose syrup is often used as an alternative to high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in food products, and is also found in some sports drinks and energy bars. This syrup is often preferred by manufacturers because it has a lower glycemic index than regular sugar, meaning it does not raise blood sugar levels as quickly. However, it is still a source of added sugar and should be consumed in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
