So, what is gember?
Gember, also known as ginger, is a pungent and spicy rhizome that adds a unique flavor to dishes. This versatile ingredient can be used fresh, dried, or ground, and is a common ingredient in many types of cuisine. Gember has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory and digestive properties. It is also high in antioxidants and can aid in reducing nausea and vomiting. When cooking with gember, it is important to use it sparingly, as it can easily overpower other flavors.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
