So, what is glicose?

Glucose, also known as dextrose, is a simple sugar that is an essential energy source for our bodies. It is a monosaccharide that is naturally present in fruits, honey, and certain vegetables. Glucose is also commercially produced from corn starch and is widely used as a sweetener in processed foods and beverages. It is commonly used in baking as a thickener and can also be found in sports drinks and energy bars due to its ability to provide quick energy. Glucose is an important ingredient in the food industry and plays a crucial role in our body's metabolic processes.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like glicose?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
