So, what is gluconat?
Gluconate, also known as gluconic acid, is a naturally occurring substance that can be found in a variety of foods, such as honey, wine, and fruits. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and has a slightly sweet taste. Gluconate is commonly used in food processing as a chelating agent, which means it helps to bind and remove metal ions that can negatively affect the color, flavor, and texture of food. In addition, it is often used as a dietary supplement due to its potential health benefits, including improved bone density and enhanced glucose metabolism.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
