So, what is glyzerin?
Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a colorless and odorless liquid that is derived from natural fats and oils. It has a sweet taste and is commonly used in the food industry as a humectant, which helps to retain moisture and maintain texture in food products. Glycerin is also used as a thickening agent, a solvent, and a preservative. It has a low glycemic index, making it a popular alternative to sugar in certain foods. In addition to its culinary uses, glycerin is also used in the production of soaps, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
