So, what is хмел?
Хмел, also known as "hops" in English, is a flowering plant that is most commonly known for its use in brewing beer. The female flowers of the plant contain essential oils and resins that contribute to the flavor and aroma of beer, as well as providing bitterness to balance the sweetness of the malted barley. Besides brewing, хмел has also been used for medicinal purposes, including as a sedative and an anti-inflammatory. Its unique bitter and aromatic qualities have made it a staple ingredient in beer-making for centuries, and it continues to be an essential component in the world's most beloved beers.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
