So, what is homard?

Homard, also known as lobster in English, is a popular seafood ingredient that's prized for its sweet and succulent meat. This crustacean has a distinctive reddish-brown shell and two large pincers that can be used to crack open its tender flesh. Homard is often boiled or steamed and served with melted butter or a lemon-garlic aioli sauce. Its delicate flavor pairs well with a variety of side dishes, including risotto, roasted vegetables, and pasta. Homard is also commonly used in bisques and chowders, adding a rich depth of flavor to these hearty soups.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like homard?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
