So, what is huile de palme partiellement hydrogénée?
Huile de palme partiellement hydrogénée, also known as partially hydrogenated palm oil, is a type of oil that is created when hydrogen is added to liquid palm oil. This process converts the oil into a more solid form, making it ideal for use in various food products such as baked goods, snack foods, and margarine. However, this process also increases the amount of trans fats in the oil, which can have negative effects on health. As a result, many countries have banned or restricted the use of partially hydrogenated oils in food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
