So, what is hydroxyde de potassium?
Hydroxyde de potassium, also known as potassium hydroxide, is a chemical compound with the formula KOH. It is a white, odorless, and deliquescent solid that is highly soluble in water and alcohol. As a strong base, it is commonly used in various industrial and laboratory applications, such as in the production of biodiesel, soap, and fertilizers. It is also used in the food industry as a pH adjuster, stabilizer, and thickener in products such as chocolate, caramel, and soft drinks. However, due to its caustic nature, potassium hydroxide should be handled with care and proper safety measures.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
