So, what is inosinate sodique?
Inosinate sodique, also known as disodium inosinate, is a food additive commonly used to enhance the flavor of processed foods. It is a sodium salt of inosinic acid, a naturally occurring nucleotide found in meat and fish. Inosinate sodique is often used in conjunction with monosodium glutamate (MSG) to enhance umami flavors in food. It is commonly found in instant noodles, potato chips, and other snack foods. Inosinate sodique is considered safe for consumption by regulatory agencies in most countries, although some people may be sensitive to it.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
