So, what is karotten?
Karotten, also known as carrots, are a root vegetable that belong to the Apiaceae family. These vibrant orange vegetables are a great source of beta-carotene, fiber, potassium, and vitamins A, C, and K. They have a slightly sweet and earthy flavor, making them a versatile ingredient in both savory and sweet dishes. Karotten can be eaten raw, roasted, steamed, or boiled and are often used in salads, stews, soups, and stir-fries. Due to their high nutritional content, karotten have been linked to numerous health benefits, including improved vision, heart health, and digestion.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
