So, what is кашу?
"Kaшу" (kashu) is a nutritious and versatile food ingredient commonly used in both sweet and savory dishes throughout Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region. It is made from whole grains, such as buckwheat, millet, or oats, that are cooked with water or milk until tender and fluffy. This porridge-like dish has a comforting, earthy flavor and a slightly chewy texture that pairs well with nuts, dried fruits, and spices. Kashu is not only delicious but also packed with fiber, protein, and essential vitamins and minerals, making it a healthy addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
