So, what is kofeiini?

Kofeiini, also known as caffeine, is a naturally occurring stimulant found in many plants, including coffee beans, tea leaves, and cacao pods. It is most commonly consumed as a beverage, but can also be found in some foods and medications. Caffeine works by blocking the action of adenosine, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep and suppresses arousal. This results in increased alertness, focus, and energy. However, consuming too much caffeine can cause negative effects such as anxiety, restlessness, and insomnia. It is important to consume caffeine in moderation and be aware of the caffeine content in products.

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
