So, what is vitamiinit?
Vitamiinit is a Finnish word for "vitamins." As an ingredient, vitamiinit are essential organic compounds required in small quantities to maintain normal bodily functions. Vitamins cannot be synthesized by the body in sufficient quantities and therefore must be obtained through diet or supplements. They play a vital role in metabolism, immunity, and overall health. Vitamins are classified into two categories: fat-soluble and water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin A, D, E, and K, are stored in the body's fatty tissues, while water-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin C and B-complex vitamins, are not stored and must be replenished daily. Incorporating a variety of nutrient-dense foods that provide a range of vitamins is key to maintaining optimal health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
