So, what is kolanuss?
Kolanuss, also known as Cola Nut, is a bitter-tasting nut that grows on the kola tree, native to West and Central Africa. It has been used for centuries in traditional African medicine for its stimulating effects, and is a key ingredient in popular soft drinks such as Coca-Cola. Kolanuss contains caffeine and theobromine, which give it a natural energy-boosting quality. It also contains tannins, which make it useful for treating digestive issues. Kolanuss is commonly used in traditional ceremonies and rituals, and is regarded as a symbol of hospitality and friendship in many African cultures.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
