So, what is tee?
Tee, also known as tamarind, is a versatile ingredient commonly used in Southeast Asian, Indian, and Latin American cuisine. The pulp of the tamarind pod is extracted and used as a souring agent, adding a distinct tanginess to dishes. Tee is often used in marinades, sauces, chutneys, and drinks. Its unique flavor pairs well with seafood, poultry, and meat dishes, and is a key ingredient in popular dishes such as pad thai and Worcestershire sauce. Tee also has numerous health benefits, including aiding in digestion and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
