So, what is kreuzkümmel?
Kreuzkümmel, also known as cumin, is a highly aromatic spice that is widely used in culinary traditions around the world. This warm and earthy spice is derived from the seeds of the Cuminum cyminum plant and has a distinct, slightly bitter flavor with hints of nuttiness and sweetness. Kreuzkümmel is a staple ingredient in Indian, Middle Eastern, and Mexican cuisine, and is often used to add depth and complexity to curries, stews, soups, and roasted meats. It is also believed to have a number of health benefits, including aiding digestion and improving blood sugar control.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
