So, what is acetate de potassium?
Acetate de potassium, also known as potassium acetate, is a white crystalline powder commonly used in the food industry as a food preservative and acidity regulator. It has a slightly salty taste and is often used in products such as baked goods, dairy products, and sauces. Additionally, acetate de potassium is used as an electrolyte replenisher in sports drinks and is also used in the production of some pharmaceuticals. It is considered safe for consumption by regulatory agencies when used within recommended limits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
