Kwas pantotenowy, also known as pantothenic acid or vitamin B5, is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in the body. It plays a crucial role in the synthesis of coenzyme A, which is involved in numerous biochemical reactions that are essential for the proper functioning of the body. Kwas pantotenowy is also important for the maintenance of healthy skin, hair, and eyes. It can be found in a variety of foods, including meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes, and whole grains. While deficiencies are rare, low levels of kwas pantotenowy can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia, and digestive issues.
