So, what is l-leucina?

L-leucine is an essential amino acid that is important for protein synthesis and muscle growth. It is one of the three branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) along with L-isoleucine and L-valine. L-leucine helps to regulate blood sugar levels and can be used by the body for energy production. This amino acid is commonly found in animal-based foods such as meat, eggs, and dairy, but can also be obtained from plant-based sources such as soybeans, lentils, and peanuts. L-leucine is often used as a supplement for athletes and bodybuilders to support muscle growth and recovery.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like l-leucina?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
