So, what is leek?
Leeks are a versatile and flavorful vegetable that belong to the same family as onions and garlic. They have a mild, sweet, and slightly onion-like taste with a subtle hint of garlic. Leeks are composed of overlapping layers of elongated leaves with white bulbs at the base and dark green, broad leaves at the top. They are a rich source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as iron and fiber. Leeks can be enjoyed raw in salads or cooked in a variety of dishes, such as soups, stews, quiches, and pastas. Their unique flavor and texture make them a popular ingredient in French cuisine and other international dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
