So, what is lycopin?
Lycopene is a naturally occurring carotenoid and powerful antioxidant found in brightly colored fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, watermelon, and papaya. Known for its bright red color, lycopene has been linked to numerous health benefits including reducing the risk of heart disease, certain cancers, and macular degeneration. It is believed to work by neutralizing harmful free radicals in the body and preventing cellular damage. Lycopene is also available in supplement form and has become a popular ingredient in skincare products due to its potential anti-aging effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
