So, what is bulgurvehnä?
Bulgurvehnä is a nutritious and versatile ingredient made from precooked wheat berries that have been dried, cracked and then parboiled. This process gives it a slightly nutty flavor and a firm, chewy texture that makes it a popular choice in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. With its high fiber content and low glycemic index, bulgurvehnä is an excellent source of complex carbohydrates and essential nutrients such as magnesium, iron and vitamin B6. It can be used in a variety of dishes, including salads, stews, pilafs and as a filling for stuffed vegetables like peppers and zucchini.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
