So, what is melkesyre?
Melkesyre is a natural food ingredient that is commonly used in the production of dairy products such as yogurt, cheese and sour cream. It is a type of organic acid that occurs naturally in milk, and its presence helps to give these foods their characteristic tangy flavor. Melkesyre is also commonly used in non-dairy fermented foods such as pickles and sauerkraut, where it acts as a preservative and contributes to the development of complex flavors. In addition, it has been found to have a number of potential health benefits, including aiding digestion and boosting the immune system.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
