So, what is monobasic calcium phosphate?
Monobasic calcium phosphate is a white powder that is commonly used as an anti-caking agent, a leavening agent and a nutritional supplement in the food industry. As a source of calcium and phosphorus, it helps in improving the texture, taste and nutritional value of various food products. It is also used in the production of baking powder, cheese, and processed meats. Monobasic calcium phosphate is generally recognized as safe by the FDA, but excessive consumption can lead to adverse effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
