So, what is mustard seed?
Mustard seeds are tiny, round seeds that come from various mustard plant species. They have a distinct nutty and pungent flavor and are commonly used as a spice in cooking. Mustard seeds can range in color from yellow to black and are often used in pickling, sausage making, and seasoning blends. These seeds contain a high amount of oil, which is responsible for the pungency and aroma of the mustard. Mustard seeds are also a great source of nutrients, including minerals such as calcium, iron, and magnesium, and vitamins like A and C.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
