So, what is noyau d'abricot?
Noyau d'abricot, or apricot kernel, is the small seed that is found inside the pit or stone of the apricot fruit. These kernels have a light beige color with a distinct almond-like flavor and a slightly bitter taste. They are often used in culinary creations, such as baked goods, desserts, and sauces, and are also popular in the world of alternative medicine as they contain amygdalin, which is believed to have cancer-fighting properties. However, it's important to note that consuming too many noyaux d'abricot can be harmful as they contain cyanide, so moderation is key.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
