So, what is oleína palma?
Oleína palma is a vegetable oil that is derived from the fruit of oil palm trees. It has a mild flavor and a high smoke point, making it ideal for cooking and frying. Oleína palma is also a versatile ingredient in food products, as it can improve texture and extend shelf life. However, there are concerns about the environmental impact of oil palm plantations. Some manufacturers have committed to using sustainable sources of oleína palma, which can be certified by organizations such as the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
