So, what is parsnips¹?
Parsnips are a root vegetable with a unique, sweet and earthy flavor that is often described as a cross between a carrot and a potato. They are similar in shape to a carrot, but are slightly thicker and have a creamy white color. Parsnips are a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes, from hearty stews and soups to roasted vegetables and purees. They are also a good source of fiber, vitamin C, potassium and other essential nutrients. Whether roasted, mashed, or pureed, parsnips are a delicious addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
