So, what is pécorino romano?
Pecorino Romano is a hard, salty, and tangy Italian cheese made from sheep's milk. It is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) product, which means it can only be produced in specific regions of Italy. This cheese has a distinct flavor that intensifies with age and can be grated or shaved over pasta dishes, soups, and salads. Pecorino Romano is high in protein and calcium and is an excellent alternative to Parmesan cheese. Its rich flavor and firm texture make it a perfect ingredient for Italian dishes and a staple in many kitchens around the world.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
