So, what is peri-peri?
Peri-peri, also known as the African bird's eye chili, is a type of pepper commonly found in Southern Africa. It is a small, fiery red pepper that packs a powerful punch of heat and flavor. Peri-peri is often used to add spice to sauces, marinades, and rubs for meat and poultry dishes. It is also a popular ingredient in Portuguese cuisine, particularly in peri-peri chicken dishes. The heat level of peri-peri can vary, but it typically ranges from medium to very hot. In addition to its spicy kick, peri-peri is also high in vitamin C and antioxidants.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
