So, what is petit verdot?
Petit Verdot is a dark-skinned grape variety that is primarily used as a blending component in red Bordeaux blends. It is known for its intense color and tannins, as well as its dark fruit flavors and aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum. Petit Verdot is typically harvested late in the season, which allows the grape to fully ripen and develop its signature flavor profile. In recent years, winemakers have begun to experiment with using Petit Verdot as a standalone varietal, producing full-bodied and complex wines with a distinctive character that is all their own.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
