So, what is pin sylvestre?
Pin sylvestre, also known as Scots pine, is a species of coniferous tree native to Europe and Asia. The needles of this tree are often used as a culinary ingredient, lending a distinct piney flavor to dishes. Pin sylvestre is rich in antioxidants and is believed to have a number of health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It is commonly used in Scandinavian and Eastern European cuisines, particularly in pickling and smoking techniques. Pin sylvestre can also be used in herbal teas and in aromatherapy as an essential oil.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
