So, what is pique?
Pique is a popular condiment that originated from Puerto Rico, but has since spread to other Latin American countries. It's made by combining vinegar, chili peppers, garlic, and various spices, resulting in a tangy and spicy sauce that can be used to add flavor to a wide range of dishes. Pique is commonly used as a dipping sauce for fried foods, such as empanadas or tostones, or as a marinade for meats and seafood. Its versatility and intense flavor make it a staple ingredient in many Latin American households.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
