So, what is pyridoxine?
Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, is a water-soluble nutrient that plays a vital role in many essential bodily functions. It is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and is involved in the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. Pyridoxine also helps to support the immune system, maintain healthy skin and eyes, and regulate homocysteine levels. It can be found in a variety of foods, including fish, poultry, whole grains, and bananas, or taken as a supplement in the form of tablets or capsules. A deficiency in pyridoxine can lead to symptoms such as anemia, skin inflammation, and neurological issues.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
