So, what is racine de persil?
Racine de persil, also known as parsley root, is a root vegetable that is closely related to celery and parsley. It has a long, slender white root that is slightly thicker at the top and tapers to a point. The flavor of parsley root is similar to a combination of celery and parsnip, with a slightly sweet, nutty taste. It is commonly used in European cuisine, particularly in German and Eastern European dishes, where it is roasted, boiled, or mashed to make soups, stews, and purees. It is also a great source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, calcium, and iron.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
