So, what is red cabbage?
Red cabbage is a nutritious and visually striking ingredient that adds a pop of color to any dish. Its vibrant hue comes from the presence of anthocyanin pigments, which are also known for their antioxidant properties. This cruciferous vegetable has a crisp texture and a slightly sweet and earthy flavor. It can be enjoyed raw in salads or coleslaw, or cooked in dishes such as stir-fries, soups, and stews. Red cabbage is also a good source of vitamins C and K, fiber, and minerals like potassium and calcium.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
