So, what is roggen?
Roggen is a German term for rye, a grain that belongs to the wheat family. It is a hardy crop that can grow in cold climates and is commonly used to make bread and other baked goods. Rye flour has a distinct flavor and is denser than wheat flour, making it a popular choice for dark breads, such as pumpernickel. The grain is also used to make whiskey and vodka. Rye is a good source of fiber and nutrients like magnesium, phosphorus, and B vitamins, making it a healthy addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
