So, what is sodium aluminum silicate?

Sodium aluminum silicate is a food grade additive that functions as an anticaking agent, emulsifier, and thickener in various processed foods. It is a white powder made of silicates and used to prevent clumping in powdered food products such as spices, baking mixes, and instant soups. This ingredient is generally recognized as safe by the FDA, and its use is allowed in many food products on the market. However, it should be noted that excessive consumption of sodium aluminum silicate may lead to health problems, and therefore, it's best to consume it in moderation.
