So, what is soured milk?
Soured milk, also known as cultured milk or acidified milk, is a dairy product that has been intentionally allowed to sour or ferment. The fermentation process is typically achieved by adding lactic acid bacteria to fresh milk, which consume lactose and produce lactic acid, causing the milk to thicken and develop a tangy, sour flavor. Soured milk is often used as an ingredient in baked goods, sauces, and soups, and is also popular in many traditional dishes around the world. With its unique flavor and versatility in the kitchen, soured milk is a valuable ingredient for any culinary enthusiast.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
