So, what is soy milk?
Soy milk is a non-dairy alternative to cow's milk that is made by soaking and grinding soybeans, then boiling the mixture and extracting the liquid. It has a creamy texture and a slightly nutty, sweet taste that makes it popular among those who cannot tolerate lactose or prefer a vegan lifestyle. Soy milk is low in saturated fat and cholesterol, but high in protein, vitamins, and minerals like calcium, iron, and potassium. It can be used as a substitute for dairy milk in many recipes and is a versatile ingredient in cooking and baking.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
