It is produced by the reaction of calcium carbonate and sulfuric acid and is often used as a thickener, stabilizer, and firming agent in food processing. Sulfates de calcium is also used in cheese making, as it helps to coagulate the milk proteins and form a solid curd. It is a safe and natural ingredient, approved by regulatory bodies worldwide, and is commonly found in products such as baked goods, canned foods, and beverages.
