So, what is sulfates de calcium?
Sulfates de calcium, also known as calcium sulfate, is a white, odorless, and tasteless powder that is commonly used as a food additive. It is produced by the reaction of calcium carbonate and sulfuric acid and is often used as a thickener, stabilizer, and firming agent in food processing. Sulfates de calcium is also used in cheese making, as it helps to coagulate the milk proteins and form a solid curd. It is a safe and natural ingredient, approved by regulatory bodies worldwide, and is commonly found in products such as baked goods, canned foods, and beverages.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
