So, what is sulfite de calcium?

Sulfite de calcium, also known as calcium sulfite, is a white crystalline powder that is commonly used as a food preservative due to its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It is a form of sulfite, which is a chemical compound that naturally occurs in some foods and can also be added as a preservative. Sulfite de calcium is particularly effective at preventing the growth of harmful bacteria and extending the shelf life of food products. It is used in a wide range of food items such as dried fruits, wine, beer, and processed meats. Despite its benefits, sulfite de calcium can cause allergic reactions in some people, especially those with asthma.
