So, what is tomaat?
Tomaat, also known as tomato, is a versatile fruit that is widely used in many cuisines around the world. This plump and juicy ingredient is a good source of vitamin C, potassium, and lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that has been linked to various health benefits. Tomaat comes in a range of sizes, shapes, and colors, from small cherry tomatoes to large beefsteak tomatoes. With its sweet and tangy flavor, tomaat can be eaten raw in salads, roasted in pasta dishes, or cooked into sauces and soups. Its acidity can also be used to balance the flavors in other dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
