So, what is tremoço?

Tremoço, also known as lupin beans, are a popular snack in Mediterranean countries. With a texture similar to chickpeas, tremoços have a slightly bitter taste that pairs well with salty flavors. They are often sold in jars or on street food carts, prepared by soaking and brining the beans to remove their bitterness. Tremoço is not only delicious but also highly nutritious, containing high levels of protein, fiber, and minerals. Due to their low glycemic index, tremoços are an excellent alternative to traditional snacks for those looking to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
