So, what is vegetal oil?
Vegetable oil is a type of oil that is derived from various plant sources, such as seeds, nuts, or fruits. It is commonly used in cooking and baking, as it has a neutral flavor and high smoke point. Vegetable oil is rich in unsaturated fats, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health. Some common types of vegetable oils include canola oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, and olive oil. Vegetable oil can also be used for non-food purposes, such as in the production of biodiesel or as a lubricant in machinery.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
