So, what is vinaigre?
Vinaigre, also known as vinegar, is a versatile and acidic ingredient made by fermenting a variety of carbohydrates, such as wine, beer, fruit, or grain. It adds depth and tang to recipes, enhancing flavors and balancing out richness. From salads to sauces to pickling brines, vinaigre is a pantry staple used in cuisines all over the world. It also has health benefits, including aiding digestion and regulating blood sugar levels. With its sharp and acidic taste, vinaigre adds a unique zing to any dish it's added to.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
